Earlier in March, Jimmy Gnecco stopped by the Shop ahead of his Paris concert. It was an opportunity for him to try out several of our instruments, and for us to spend time with a rare and generous artist who is very close to the store.

Jimmy Gnecco is one of those rare and enigmatic figures on the international music scene. A deeply moving singer with an angelic voice, an tireless performer capable of singing for hours, he is not an artist who sees music as just a profession. For him, singing is a necessity of the soul and a heartfelt cry. Each of Jimmy’s visits to Paris is therefore a moment of emotional reunion, as he has been stopping by whenever he can for almost 10 years.

Every concert by Jimmy is an opportunity to witness the remarkable depth of his skills as both a composer and a singer. Known for his high, expressive voice often compared to Jeff Buckley, he has contributed to numerous projects with Brian May, Humanist, and Lana Del Rey, not to mention his band OURS and his solo performances that never leave anyone indifferent.
