They had the honor of covering the final shows of his annual residency at his club, Buddy Guy’s Legends, and of speaking with his children. Recognizable from miles away by their bodies covered in polka dots, the Buddy Guy signature guitars quickly became some of Fender’s most iconic models. Their bold and flamboyant finish reflects the famous bluesman himself: vibrant and unmistakable. The polka dot pattern is an integral part of Buddy Guy’s style, from his shirts to his instrument cases. Identified by this very distinctive pattern, this Stratocaster quickly became his signature model.

Several polka dot models have since been created. The guitars brought back by Matt’s Guitar Shop were signed by Buddy Guy himself at his club.
