De vier ontmoeten elkaar aan het <strong>Goldsmiths College<\/strong> in Londen. Met <strong>Parklife (1994)<\/strong> wordt Blur een van de vaandeldragers van de <strong>Britpop<\/strong>, en wint het in \u00e9\u00e9n avond <strong>4 Brit Awards<\/strong>.<br \/>De media-rivaliteit met <strong>Oasis<\/strong> bereikt in <strong>augustus 1995<\/strong> een hoogtepunt met de gelijktijdige release van <strong>&#8220;Country House&#8221;<\/strong> (Blur) en <strong>&#8220;Roll with It&#8221;<\/strong> (Oasis). Blur wint de hitlijststrijd, maar Oasis verkoopt in totaal meer albums.
