Algunas guitarras acompa\u00f1an una gira. Otras acompa\u00f1an a un artista. La Gibson Les Paul Standard Tom Murphy Aged de 2009<\/strong> que perteneci\u00f3 a Gary Moore<\/strong> pertenece claramente a la segunda categor\u00eda. M\u00e1s que un instrumento de escenario, fue una aut\u00e9ntica compa\u00f1era de viaje. Una guitarra elegida, tocada y vivida, y hoy recibida en Matt\u2019s Guitar Shop<\/strong> con todo el respeto que merece su historia.<\/p>\n

Gary Moore adquiri\u00f3 esta Les Paul en Tokio en abril de 2010, mientras estaba de gira por Jap\u00f3n. No fue una compra impulsiva. Muy pronto se convirti\u00f3 en una pieza central de su arsenal. Fue utilizada en conciertos en Jap\u00f3n y posteriormente en Corea del Sur, antes de acompa\u00f1arlo en las fechas europeas del \u201cSummer of Rock\u201d, periodo durante el cual Gary reinterpret\u00f3 con fuerza sus temas rock de los a\u00f1os 80. En oto\u00f1o de 2010 continu\u00f3 con conciertos en Ucrania y Rusia.<\/p>\n

Pero lo que hace a esta guitarra especialmente emocionante es su doble vida. S\u00ed, se utiliz\u00f3 en el escenario. S\u00ed, llev\u00f3 los riffs y solos ardientes que construyeron la reputaci\u00f3n de Gary Moore. Pero tambi\u00e9n fue su guitarra de hotel. Aquella que manten\u00eda cerca en los momentos m\u00e1s tranquilos, lejos de los focos. La guitarra con la que se trabaja una idea, se busca un matiz y se deja que los dedos hablen sin p\u00fablico. Eso dice mucho sobre el v\u00ednculo que ten\u00eda con ella.<\/p>\n

T\u00e9cnicamente, estamos ante una pieza excepcional. Cuerpo de caoba, tapa de arce tallada en dos piezas, acabado faded burst sutilmente marcado por un checking natural en la tapa y la pala, dos humbuckers, controles gold bonnet transparentes, selector de tres posiciones, m\u00e1stil de caoba con diapas\u00f3n de palisandro indio con incrustaciones trapezoidales\u2026 Todo ello realzado por el envejecimiento caracter\u00edstico de Tom Murphy, referencia absoluta en el mundo de las Gibson aged.<\/p>\n

Cada detalle respira el ADN de las grandes Les Paul de 1958 en las que se inspira. Sustain generoso, ataque preciso y calidez org\u00e1nica: todo est\u00e1 ah\u00ed. Una guitarra capaz de ofrecer tanto blues ardiente como rock contundente, exactamente como el propio Gary Moore.<\/p>\n

Se entrega con su estuche original Gibson Custom. Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los documentos, lo que realmente cuenta son las huellas invisibles. Esta guitarra ha vibrado en salas europeas llenas hasta la bandera. Ha recorrido Asia. Ha descansado en habitaciones de hotel despu\u00e9s de los conciertos. Fue elegida por un m\u00fasico cuyo sonido era reconocible al instante entre miles.<\/p>\n
