Bonhams subastar\u00e1 a finales de noviembre las \u00faltimas piezas de su colecci\u00f3n, incluidas algunas de sus guitarras m\u00e1s bellas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

El genio irland\u00e9s forma parte de esos m\u00fasicos cuyo legado sigue escribi\u00e9ndose con letras de oro. Fue el bluesman por excelencia, un experimentador incansable y el creador de algunos de los mayores \u00e9xitos del rock. Cada guitarra de su colecci\u00f3n reflejaba sus preferencias interpretativas, ajustes t\u00e9cnicos y caracter\u00edsticas sonoras. Desde la c\u00e9lebre Greeny<\/strong><\/em> \u2014 la famosa Gibson Les Paul Burst que compr\u00f3 a su \u00eddolo Peter Green \u2014 hasta sus numerosas Stratocaster, cada instrumento era escogido meticulosamente. Entre sus piezas m\u00e1s valiosas destaca la legendaria Fender Stratocaster Fiesta Red de 1961<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, una de las guitarras que m\u00e1s tiempo us\u00f3 y probablemente la segunda m\u00e1s asociada a su imagen, que ser\u00e1 puesta a la venta.<\/p>\n

El instrumento original de Moore se distingu\u00eda por sus pastillas de baja salida y su selector de tres posiciones. El artista le hizo ligeras modificaciones, como un apantallado de cobre en la cavidad y trastes jumbo.<\/p>\n

Como toda gran guitarra, su historia est\u00e1 llena de an\u00e9cdotas. En 1984 fue extraviada por la aduana durante una gira por Estados Unidos. M\u00e1s tarde reapareci\u00f3 en la oficina de Interpol en Houston y fue devuelta a su due\u00f1o. Mientras tanto, Moore hab\u00eda comprado otra Stratocaster blanca para continuar la gira.<\/p>\n

Con el tiempo se inclin\u00f3 m\u00e1s por las Les Paul, pero sigui\u00f3 tocando la Strat ocasionalmente, como en 2014, durante los conciertos por los 60 a\u00f1os de la Stratocaster.<\/p>\n

En 2016, Fender rindi\u00f3 homenaje a Gary y a esta guitarra con una Stratocaster Gary Moore de edici\u00f3n limitada, creada en su Custom Shop, que reproduc\u00eda fielmente el desgaste que la hac\u00eda tan distintiva.<\/p>\n
