While passing through Chicago, the Matt\u2019s Guitar Shop team visited the hometown of the legendary bluesman Buddy Guy. They had the honor of covering the final shows of his annual residency at his club, Buddy Guy\u2019s Legends,<\/i> and of speaking with his children. It was a chance to discover the guitars of the blues master, but also to bring some back…<\/p>\n
Recognizable from miles away by their bodies covered in polka dots, the Buddy Guy signature guitars quickly became some of Fender\u2019s most iconic models. Their bold and flamboyant finish reflects the famous bluesman himself: vibrant and unmistakable. The polka dot pattern is an integral part of Buddy Guy\u2019s style, from his shirts to his instrument cases. Identified by this very distinctive pattern, this Stratocaster quickly became his signature model.<\/p>\n
Several polka dot models have since been created. The guitars brought back by Matt\u2019s Guitar Shop were signed by Buddy Guy himself at his club.<\/p>\n
