Matt\u2019s Guitar Shop is proud to announce the arrival of Luke\u2019s famous blonde 1951 Fender Esquire, a true centerpiece of his arsenal.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n If there is one guitarist who holds the key to success, it is Steve Lukather. As a seasoned musician, he has developed an exceptional ear and, consequently, a limited but thoughtfully curated collection of tools. This 1951 Fender Esquire is a guitar of fundamental importance in Steve Lukather\u2019s career. Purchased in 1979, it was used on numerous sessions and recordings, including the famous Toto IV album for which he used only four guitars. Everything that sounds like a Telecaster on that record is this Esquire. Convinced by its quality, he made this guitar his go-to instrument. He used it on most Toto recordings as well as on several collaborations (Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton, and Ringo Starr\u2019s single \u201cLet\u2019s Change the World\u201d). Steve has regularly mentioned it in interviews about his gear, always ranking it as a top-tier guitar.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n This beautiful guitar (neck dated April 1951 and body March 1951) is a remarkable example of the early Fender Esquires, as well as an exceptional testament to Steve Lukather\u2019s talent and keen musical sense.
