Travis<\/strong> was formed in Glasgow<\/strong>, Scotland, in 1990<\/strong> by Fran Healy<\/strong> (vocals, guitar), Andy Dunlop<\/strong> (guitar), Dougie Payne<\/strong> (bass), and Neil Primrose<\/strong> (drums). The singles “Why Does It Always Rain on Me?”<\/strong> and “Driftwood”<\/strong> became modern classics.<\/p>\n The Invisible Band (2001)<\/strong> and the hit single “Sing”<\/strong> confirmed their success. The band is often cited as a major influence on groups such as Coldplay<\/strong> and Keane<\/strong>.<\/p>\n At the 1999 Glastonbury Festival<\/strong>, Travis performed under heavy rain, and Fran Healy sang “Why Does It Always Rain on Me?”<\/strong>\u2014at the exact moment he delivered the lyric, the rain stopped and the sun broke through the clouds.
