The Offspring<\/strong> was formed in Garden Grove<\/strong>, California, in 1984<\/strong> by Dexter Holland<\/strong> (vocals, guitar) and Noodles<\/strong> (guitar). The singles “Come Out and Play”<\/strong> and “Self Esteem”<\/strong> dominated radio airwaves.<\/p>\n Americana (1998)<\/strong> and the hit single “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)”<\/strong> confirmed the band’s worldwide success.<\/p>\n Dexter Holland<\/strong> is also a licensed pilot<\/strong> and holds a PhD in Molecular Biology<\/strong> from the University of Southern California<\/strong>.
