Formation and early years<\/h2>\n

Oasis<\/strong> was formed in Manchester<\/strong> in 1991<\/strong> around Liam Gallagher<\/strong> (vocals) and Noel Gallagher<\/strong> (guitar, songwriting). The band became part of the Britpop<\/strong> wave and signed to Creation Records<\/strong> in 1993.<\/p>\n

Rise to fame and rivalry<\/h2>\n

Definitely Maybe (1994)<\/strong> became the fastest-selling debut album<\/strong> in British history. (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (1995)<\/strong> sold over 22 million copies<\/strong> and included the hits “Wonderwall”<\/strong> and “Don’t Look Back in Anger”<\/strong>.
The rivalry with Blur<\/strong> dominated the British press in 1995<\/strong>. The Knebworth<\/strong> concerts in August 1996<\/strong> attracted 250,000 fans<\/strong> over two nights.
The relationship between Liam<\/strong> and Noel<\/strong> is one of the most turbulent in rock history: public insults, backstage fights, and cancelled shows. During a concert in Munich<\/strong> in 2002<\/strong>, Liam walked off stage after being hit by a thrown object. Noel publicly called him a “potato”<\/strong> in the press. This explosive dynamic paradoxically fueled the band\u2019s creativity and myth.<\/p>\n

Breakup and legacy<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

Constant tension between Liam<\/strong> and Noel<\/strong> led to the band\u2019s breakup in August 2009<\/strong>. Noel went on to form High Flying Birds<\/strong>, while Liam formed Beady Eye<\/strong> before pursuing a solo career. The band has sold over 75 million albums<\/strong>. A reunion was announced in 2024<\/strong> for 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Noel Gallagher is inseparable from his custom Epiphone Sheraton<\/strong> and Gibson ES-355<\/strong> guitars, including the iconic Union Jack model. He also uses Gibson Les Paul<\/strong> guitars.<\/p>\n
