Stanley Bert Eisen<\/strong> was born on January 20, 1952<\/strong> in Manhattan<\/strong>, New York. Born with microtia<\/strong> (a malformation of the right ear), he found an escape through music. With their makeup<\/strong>, costumes<\/strong>, and pyrotechnic shows<\/strong>, Kiss revolutionized the live rock experience<\/strong>. Albums such as Destroyer (1976)<\/strong>, Love Gun (1977)<\/strong>, and Dynasty (1979)<\/strong> produced hits like “Rock and Roll All Nite”<\/strong>, “Detroit Rock City”<\/strong>, and “I Was Made for Lovin’ You”<\/strong>.
Kiss has sold more than 100 million albums<\/strong> worldwide.
Paul Stanley is also an acclaimed painter<\/strong>, exhibiting and selling his artwork in galleries across the United States. He wrote the bestselling autobiography Face the Music: A Life Exposed (2014)<\/strong>, in which he revealed for the first time his struggles related to his microtia<\/strong> and the partial hearing loss it caused.<\/p>\n
