W\u00e4hrend die Band KISS gerade ihren Abschied feierte, beginnt ihr enormes Erbe gerade erst messbar zu werden. Entdecken Sie hier ein St\u00fcck Geschichte der End of The Road Tour, direkt aus dem Arsenal von Gene Simmons. Dieser G2 Thunderbird-Bass wurde modifiziert, intensiv gespielt und vom God of Thunder auf der letzten Tour ihrer Geschichte signiert.<\/strong><\/p>\n

KISS wusste, wie man gro\u00dfartige Shows inszeniert, die ihren energetischen und mitrei\u00dfenden Rock unterstreichen. In diesem au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Rahmen traten ihre R\u00fcstungen und Masken neben pyrotechnischen Effekten auf, und ihre Instrumente stiegen schnell neben den Kost\u00fcmen zum Rang personalisierter Requisiten auf, die zu Akteuren der B\u00fchne wurden. W\u00e4hrend Paul Stanley die Iceman zu seiner Referenzgitarre machte, brachte Gene Simmons ebenfalls seine Signature-B\u00e4sse ins Spiel: von der Punisher-Bassgitarre bis zur erstaunlichen Ax-Bass, nicht zu vergessen der traditionellere Thunderbird G2.<\/p>\n

Dieser Thunderbird G2<\/strong><\/em>-Bass wurde von Gene Simmons auf der End of The Road Tour von KISS modifiziert und gespielt<\/strong>. Basierend auf seinem Signature-Bass wurde er mehrfach angepasst, um seinen Bed\u00fcrfnissen und Spielvorlieben gerecht zu werden. Die Original-Tonabnehmer wurden gegen EMGs ausgetauscht, zwei Lautst\u00e4rkeregler entfernt und verschlossen, sodass nur einer \u00fcbrig blieb, und die Gurtpins wurden durch robustere Befestigungen ersetzt. Au\u00dferdem zeugen zahlreiche Gebrauchsspuren von der intensiven Nutzung durch den God of Thunder: Neben Abnutzungen auf der R\u00fcckseite f\u00e4llt der stark beanspruchte und teilweise besch\u00e4digte Steg auf, ebenso wie der Plektrum-Streifen entlang des Korpus und mehrere schwarze Klebeb\u00e4nder.<\/p>\n

Diese vielen Anpassungen durch Gene Simmons machen das Instrument sehr pers\u00f6nlich und historisch, insbesondere im Hinblick auf den R\u00fcckzug der Band und die intensive Nutzung. Dieser Bass wurde am Abend des letzten KISS-Konzerts in Paris im Juni 2022 zur\u00fcckgegeben, daher die Inschrift \u201eRock N Roll All Nite for the Last Time\u201c. Er wird mit seinem Case geliefert, das ebenfalls von Gene Simmons signiert wurde.<\/p>\n
