Herkunft und Werdegang<\/h2>\n

Tom Murphy<\/strong> ist ein amerikanischer Gitarrenbauer<\/strong> mit Sitz in Kalamazoo<\/strong>, Michigan, dem historischen Ursprungsort von Gibson<\/strong>. Urspr\u00fcnglich als Autolackierer ausgebildet, entwickelte er bereits in den 1990er-Jahren<\/strong> eine einzigartige Expertise im Bereich der k\u00fcnstlichen Alterung<\/strong> (Aging\/Relic) von Gitarren.<\/p>\n

Tom Murphy Aged bei Gibson<\/h2>\n

Gibson holte ihn in den Custom Shop<\/strong>, wo er das Verfahren „Murphy Aged“<\/strong> entwickelte, das heute als absoluter Ma\u00dfstab f\u00fcr hochwertiges Relicing<\/strong> gilt. Seine Gitarren reproduzieren authentisch die nat\u00fcrliche Abnutzung jahrzehntelangen Spielens: Lackrisse, Bundverschlei\u00df und Metallpatina<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Das im Jahr 2020<\/strong> gestartete Programm Murphy Lab<\/strong> standardisierte seinen Ansatz mit verschiedenen Alterungsstufen: Light Aged<\/strong>, Aged<\/strong> und Ultra Heavy Aged<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tom Murphys Arbeit ist so pr\u00e4zise, dass er die exakten Rissmuster<\/strong> eines 50 Jahre alten Nitrozelluloselacks, Abnutzungsspuren eines Rechts- oder Linksh\u00e4nders und sogar die spezifische Patina durch Schwei\u00df reproduzieren kann. Jedes Murphy Aged<\/strong>-Instrument ist ein Unikat und kann mehrere Tage sorgf\u00e4ltiger Handarbeit erfordern.<\/p>\n
