Gr\u00fcndung und Anf\u00e4nge<\/h2>\n

The Beatles<\/strong> wurden Anfang der 1960er Jahre<\/strong> in Liverpool<\/strong> gegr\u00fcndet. Die Band bestand aus John Lennon<\/strong> (Gitarre, Gesang), Paul McCartney<\/strong> (Bass, Gesang), George Harrison<\/strong> (Gitarre) und Ringo Starr<\/strong> (Schlagzeug, ab 1962<\/strong> als Nachfolger von Pete Best<\/strong>).
\nNach Hunderten von Auftritten im Cavern Club<\/strong> in Liverpool sowie in den Clubs von Hamburg<\/strong> (insbesondere im Star-Club<\/strong> und im Top Ten Club<\/strong>), wo sie teilweise bis zu acht Stunden pro Nacht<\/strong> spielten, unterschrieben sie 1962<\/strong> einen Vertrag bei Parlophone<\/strong> mit Produzent George Martin<\/strong>. Martin, oft als der \u201ef\u00fcnfte Beatle\u201c<\/strong> bezeichnet, spielte eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Weiterentwicklung und Verfeinerung ihres Sounds.<\/p>\n

Beatlemania<\/h2>\n

Die Single „Love Me Do“ (1962)<\/strong> markierte den Beginn ihrer Karriere. Mit „I Want to Hold Your Hand“ (1963)<\/strong> brach weltweit die Beatlemania<\/strong> aus. Ihr Auftritt in der Ed Sullivan Show<\/strong> am 9. Februar 1964<\/strong> erreichte 73 Millionen<\/strong> Zuschauer in den USA \u2013 ein damaliger Rekord.
\nIm Jahr 1964<\/strong> belegten die Beatles gleichzeitig die ersten f\u00fcnf Pl\u00e4tze<\/strong> der Billboard-Charts \u2013 ein bis heute unerreichter Rekord. Der Film A Hard Day’s Night (1964)<\/strong> festigte ihren Status als kulturelles Ph\u00e4nomen weit \u00fcber die Musik hinaus.<\/p>\n

Musikalische Revolution<\/h2>\n

Alben wie Rubber Soul (1965)<\/strong>, Revolver (1966)<\/strong> und Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)<\/strong> definierten die M\u00f6glichkeiten der Popmusik neu, indem sie indische Musik<\/strong>, klassische Orchestrierungen<\/strong>, r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts abgespielte Tonb\u00e4nder<\/strong> und experimentelle Studiotechniken<\/strong> integrierten.
