Jack Hody Johnson<\/strong> wurde am 18. Mai 1975<\/strong> auf Oahu<\/strong>, Hawaii, geboren. Sein Deb\u00fctalbum Brushfire Fairytales (2001)<\/strong> verbindet Folk<\/strong>, Surf Rock<\/strong> und akustischen Reggae<\/strong>. In Between Dreams (2005)<\/strong> erreichte dank der Single „Better Together“<\/strong> Platz 2<\/strong> der Billboard 200.
\nSleep Through the Static (2008)<\/strong> stieg direkt auf Platz 1<\/strong> der US-Charts ein.
\nJack Johnson ist auch Filmemacher: Er drehte die Surf-Filme Thicker Than Water (2003)<\/strong> und A Brokedown Melody (2004)<\/strong>, in denen er seine Musik mit Reise- und Wellenbildern verbindet. Seine Alben werden regelm\u00e4\u00dfig in einem solar betriebenen Studio<\/strong> auf Hawaii aufgenommen \u2013 passend zu seinem Umweltengagement.<\/p>\n
